Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk

Here is one of the first Russian experimental short films ever made.  It starts to get really crazy around the 1:32 mark.  And remember, this was made in 1946… so just think of all of the time that it must have taken to make this, and how much of a painstaking task this must have been with all of the early technological limitations.  Also, notice how they even got the little Terminator robot dude’s movements syncopated with the music/piano!

Sweet short film. But this is in no way even close to one of the first Soviet experimental films. This propaganda short is from 1924.

Also guys like Sergei Eisenstein and Digza Vertov did experimental work as well. Soviet film making was super sweet and they invented break dancing.
