Episode # 43-Hello Friends Radio

In honor of Hello Friends turning 2 years old, we have decided to switch up the format. We are bringing you …….HELLO FRIENDS RADIO. Way more music and way less talking.

Hello Friends Radio will be our main format, but don’t worry, we are not going to lose our in depth episodes such as the Grand Rapids Episodes. Those will stay the same.

In this episode Beezy and Local Dj  play only music that has been released within the last year. So if you have been looking for some new fresh music, this is the episode for you.

Let us know what you like/don’t like about the new format by emailing beezy@hellofriendspodcast.com, or localdj@hellofriendspodcast.com

Wow, I like the new format! And there’s a lot of really great songs on this. Fatima, who sings on the Shafiq Husayn track, has been getting a lot of hype on Gilles Peterson’s show, so it’s good to hear her on something new to my ears. And although I’ve heard In For The Kill like a million times, that Skrillex Remix is killin’ it!! I typically only like remixes when they’re released within a couple of weeks of the main track, but the Skrillex Remix gets a pass this time. I love that My Boy Blu song so much! I liked the Little Vampires song, and I liked I Don’t Belong by Off because it sounds like something that could’ve come out in the late 70s in England. That AT&T shiit was pretty funny, too!

  2. i deny new music (or am i too lazy?), but this was perfect. 7am mini workout to fatima, hell yes. little nina simone tucked in there… damn.
